Use the numbers where the horse stands
globeadnak wrote:I tried "316..." 5 digits. But it is wrong. Please some hints.
The number that passed by the knight's movement to reach the king?

Movement of the horse in chess, 2-1, use only the numbers where the horse finishes its movement

If location is represented by 8 rows and 8 columns,
The king location is row 2 and col 1,
The knight location is row 8 and col 8.
To get the numbers for solve, I will trace between knight and king using knight steps.
So I will get the sequental numbers 31664 of 3166449985572 that reach until the king location. Is this solve method is wrong ?

I do not have the book with me. I can't tell you what the right answer is, and any guesses should be in spoiler tags so as not to spoil the puzzle for anyone who comes after you.
