I believe I am the only person that hasn’t figured this one out yet. I am stumped…I have tried everything I can think of from the information given to me. I’m just not seeing it! :(

This is fairly straightforward if you've done other puzzles in the book. Below are graded hints leading to the solution, which is a four digit number.

As the phrase says, go to https://www.journal29.com/apparatus

Go ahead and play around with the page. You can begin by typing 'abcdefg' in the 'insert text' box and see what the 'output' is. Anything look familiar?

The output symbols match those on the page in the book. The 8 symbols on the page are a simple cipher. Enter different letters in 'insert text' until you manage to get all of the symbols. An added hint is that the 3rd symbol in the book is the letter V (it looks a bit different online than it does in the book).

The cipher works out to 'coverbee'. No, you're not done yet--keep working.

Coverbee is better rendered as 'bee on the cover'.

There is a little symbol of a bee in the bottom right corner on the back cover of the book.
