I've done that and the shadow falls for a on 48 or 61, on b for 36 or 45, and c 85 or 39 and I've tried all combinations of these.

To get those numbers for C, your light would have to be entirely in the wrong place.

I got it after moving the phone a bit but I really think this is setup so you can line your phone up with the line, which I couldn't do.

I turned the book to face the ceiling light in the room. No phone required, just a line of light from the "light source" icon" to your gnomon of choice.

i just roughed it out and guessed a couple times. Just take the pencil and lay it on the light source and the pencil mark. It should get you the results.

I used a pencil to make a 90 degree angle at the sun icon. It literally points to the answers.

the shadow hits several numbers. I've tried several combinations. Any tips on how to spot the right one. Especially c is tricky

I found how to solve this but...

The shadows fall over several numbers. Even tried drawing the shadow paths based on the position of the light an the pencil but same results.Tried various combinations. None worked. How to determine which number to use? .
