I have tried to translate "key" into another language and hoped to get "ris", but no language fits.
Now I will try with letter shifting "key" to "ris" and then using it with {key.159}

My partner manages to solve this one… it’s almost a call back to some past puzzles where we substituted words and dropped others down… trying to think of a way to give a good hint without giving it away

I currently think that RIS and KEY extend an already existing transformation table.
I then need 2 more letters from the earlier puzzle. (existing transformation table)
But I don't know what to do with the letters. All the words that can be formed from them don't help.

Finally, I have found the solution.
I just had to sleep on it one night.
The logic behind the puzzle is as suspected, but you do not need any existing transformation table from a previous puzzle.

Well that’s so obvious when you put it that way. We were trying too hard. Thanks.
