Did you figure this out? Mine was really close to this (9 instead of 10), but it didn’t work, either. I’m stumped!

I was confused initially because

I thought you couldn't go through two types twice at all and the light and dark walls were also different

But the key is knowing

there are only two types of wall, single and double

And

you can't hit two consecutively (you have to alternate), plus you DON'T have to go in every room

Also I had to

go through some walls and rooms twice
