N seems to be completely nonsensical.

Is the hint 'NE NW E W' directions? Is so, to where? If not, what do they mean?
I can't even begin.

The first directions take you off the mug and into nothingness. How does a compass help? By the way, I already turned it upside down and still got nothing. So I used the compass on the E puzzle and still got nothing.
This one is irritating me.
