I don't have any idea! There are so many numbers on that page. Can you please explain how to get to the solution, what's the correct method and why?

This is a multi-rebus puzzle that uses things you've been staring at since the book began and finally get to use :). Below are some graded hints leading to the solution, which is ultimately a 4-digit code. It assumes you know keys 101, 106, and 109. If you don’t know them, then don’t continue. . .

The clue phrase is a rebus: Island + before + fate. Also significant is the 3 outlined shapes in the corners of the page (ignore the symbols in the bottom left quarter of the page). Where have you seen those outlined shapes before?

In the Notes section of the book, the excavation map has those same outlined shapes, and you will find the solution on that page. There is a LOT of data on the page, but thankfully you have the key phrase to guide you to know what parts/elements of the map to use--there are 6 of them.

The 3 keywords (island, before, fate) can of themselves be rebuses. Look over the various page elements to find the 3. Close to each there is a 3 digit number. You want those three 3-digit numbers.

Take the first key word 'island'. In 'rebusese' you can make 'island' out of [eye] + L + &. At the bottom of the page it is there and next to it is '622'. That's your 1st key number. Do the same for 'before' and 'fate'.

And the solution is below. DO NOT CLICK IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW THE ANSWER!!

I finished the book, but I was wondering: what about the three animals on the side of the map? Do I need them/some numbers for a future book?
