Day 7

Struggling with this one. The link shows the dice but it only moves one turn at a time, it can't be "rolled" as such.

Any hints welcome

Honestly, in the end I went with trial and error and tried to figure out how it worked afterwards.
Here are my steps:

I copied the dice onto an old dice and placed it on the first sqare of the path.

My mistake:

Instead of just rolling it along the path, I rotated the dice like I would be peeling the path off the dice (=exact opposite movements)

Anyhow, this led me to different wrong solutions, which all showed the same pattern:

Numbers on Position1&3 are the same and Numbers on Position 4&5 are the same. And those two numbers add up to 7.

So the only difficulty (unclearity) is,
