Re: Puzzle Y (my approach)

Guess it's possible to interpret the slight pauses of the moving ball as parentheses? :?: Maybe others took the crescent moon shapes under the numbers as "parentheses like"? :?: My brain had it's own conflicts with that since the moons was related to a different puzzle, so I did not want to assume any "()" parentheses symbols if the symbol was not on the mug.
Spoiler!
So I just used those slightest pauses for the math order to follow and how the middle number is applied.
  • bottom to middle = 1st result
  • 1st result & to left = 2nd result
  • 2nd result & to right = 3rd result
  • 3rd result & to top = final result

I don't think that there is anything resembling parentheses in the puzzle. We solved it the only way you can to get the correct result. It is only looking back at it now that I realize that the approach we used was not correct according to how the mathematics should be done. :)
