This is a purely visual puzzle that doesn't require a lot of brain power and is a bit whimsical. Below are graded hints leading to the solution.

1) This puzzle involves you recognizing a hidden figure in the diagram. The name of the figure is the answer to the puzzle.

2) Ever do a 'color by numbers' painting? In this case, it's a 'color by dot' painting. . .

3) Pick a colored pen of your choice (the most thematically answer-appropriate colors are red, blue, orange, or pink), and color in any shape that has a little square dot in it. There are 21 of them, and one of the dots is in a space that is big and oddly shaped. It's very important you get it too.

4) When you're done, you should have an image of an iconic character from the most famous arcade video game of the 1980s.
And the answer is:

5) The game is Pac Man, and the image is (unfortunately) not Inky, Blinky, Pinky, or Clyde (but it could be depending on what color you chose). It's just 'ghost' which is the answer.
