Hold the book in the air. Let it go. What happens to the book is the result of gravity.

The gravity affecting this puzzle is so extreme it's affecting the letters on the page. What happens to the book when you let go happens to the letters you write at the top of the page.

They get reordered as a consequence.

Spoiler!
It isn't three words. Some letters are simply lost.

Because 'extreme gravity' really seems more like a red herring than an actually useful bit of information, below is the answer. DO NOT CLICK IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW THE ANSWER!!
Spoiler!
Put the letters D A R K C A V E into the dashes on the white streaks. Reordering (anagram style) the letters according to the length of the white streak from shortest to longest reveals the word 'arcade' which is the answer. The K and V are eliminated from the page at the bottom.
