I entered the keys and googled the topic. I got the surname and removed K because of the "-{key.149}"
That answer didn't work and I'm not sure where to go next. Any hints?

I know the full name of the Nobel prize winner for chemistry in 1982 and I've removed the letters of Koala from his name. I'm left with 4 letters: rune

It's important to not overthink this one--its really straightforward and simple. Below are graded hints leading to the solution, which is 4 letters. It assumes you know keys 143,130, 148, and 149. If you don't know them don't continue.
Spoiler!
The line reads (nobel chemistry 1982) - koala. Google will help you with this.
Spoiler!
The 1982 winner of the Nobel Prize for chemistry was AARON KLUG.
Spoiler!
You now have AARONKLUG - KOALA. Remove the letters K, O, A, L, A and what do you have left?
And the answer is below. Do not click if you do not want to know the answer.
