I’m using the method shown in the spoilers (I’d worked that bit out myself) I’ve tried putting in the “answer” but it still says I’m wrong. Any other hints please??

This important puzzle is a fairly straightforward 'decode the cipher' one. The cipher is the 8 character line at the top of the page, and the cipher key is the 3 rows of characters in the bottom third of the page. The light-colored designs in the middle of the page and bottom right corner are decorative and can be ignored. The answer is ultimately a common 8-letter English word, and below are graded hints leading to the solution.
Spoiler!
The key to solving this cipher is knowing which symbol represents which letter of the alphabet. The answer key becomes apparent by recognizing the unique visual arrangement of symbols in the key: a row of 10 letters, another row of 9 letters underneath, and a row of 7 underneath that (making 26 letters total). Once you do, the cipher is immediately solvable.
Spoiler!
The cipher key is found everywhere in today's digital world--on cellphones, laptops, and desktop computers. It is the design of the QWERTY keyboard.
Spoiler!
Solve the cipher by finding the first character of the cipher word (kind of a modified 'B' looking symbol) and locating it in the cipher key (first row, 3rd from the left). On the keyboard, the 3rd letter in the top row is 'E'. Write an 'E' above the first character in the cipher.
Spoiler!
Find the second character in the cipher (a 'T' looking character with extra shapes added) in the cipher key (bottom row, second from the right). On the keyboard, the second letter from the right on the bottom row is 'N'. Write it above the second character in the cipher. Continue with the remaining 6 characters.
Continuing with the remaining characters yields the answer below. DO NOT CLICK IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW THE ANSWER !!!

entrance
Once you solve it, remember this cipher and the characters of it, as it is used a couple more times throughout the book and you will need to refer to it again in the future!
