I was totally thrown off by the fact that the distance between CDG & le tour Eiffel is approximately 33km... Sigh

I have the answer, however I am not so sure if the first code as 33 for the Eiffel Tower and 39 for the colleseum. Can anyone provide me with a clue as to what the numbers mean?
