How are you even getting that, the letters don't match evenly with spaces.

I got the answer due to previous hints. Even though, I still can't understand why. Anybody can PM me or let me know the exact method in getting it? I don't need hints anymore, just an explanation

Well, I'm still stumped.

Eta: found it, and think I know how to get there, but man... some of these puzzles!

This is a puzzle that uses a solution mechanic that has not been used before in any of the journal29 books, so it may stump people who have never 'looked for clues there before'. Below are some graded hints leading to the solution, which is ultimately a common 7-letter word.
Spoiler!
Everything you need to solve the puzzle is right in front of you, but it does require info from another page (also right in front of you).
Spoiler!
The puzzle image is a black square ring with a black square in the middle. It's 5 squares wide and 5 squares tall. Above it is a 5X4 grid of letters. 7 of those letters form the answer to the puzzle. You need to know which 7. To find the main clue, closely examine the QR code on the opposite page (right above the 'journal29.com/91') and see if you can find the same 5X5 square ring with a black square in the middle.
Spoiler!
Above the 5X5 sqaure in the QR code, there is a bunch of black and white squares that make up the data of the QR code. Focus on the specific pattern of black and white squares in the 5X4 section just above the 5X5 square.
Spoiler!
The 5X4 section lets you know which letters you need in the 5X4 grid on the puzzle page. If we let '0' be a white square, and 'X' be a black one, then the key section in the QR code above the 5x5 square would look like this:

OOXOX
OOXXX
XXXOX
OXXXX

Write down, in reading order, the letters from the 5X4 grid represented by white squares (or 'O' in the diagram above).

And the solution is below. DO NOT CLICK IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW THE ANSWER!!
