Spoiler!
So I roll up my page, but I'm not sure what number goes to what letter. It's it simply straight up-and-down, in the order of the keyword? Been stuck for a while and need additional help...

There's just so many combinations... Perhaps a private message of the first number would help me.

Spoiler!
I am having such a difficult time with this one. I’ve tried to roll the page into a tube, and am not seeing how the letters connect to the numbers. I’ve sat on it for a few days and it’s still got me scratching my head! Any hints regarding the tube itself? Is it rolled tightly or loosely? People have also mentioned that the letters of key.79 can be found on the page... is the second “O” the shape around “tube”?

You don't acually need to
Spoiler!
roll a physical tube. Just check where the lines of the letters connect to on the opposite side.

This puzzle is creative and a touch tricky. It can be solved without destroying the book, but does require some page manipulation and decent eyesight :). Photocopying the page beforehand may make it easier for you to solve the puzzle. Below are some graded hints leading to the solution, which is ultimately a 4 digit code. It assumes you know key 79. If you don’t know it, then don’t continue. . .
Spoiler!
The overarching goal here is to convert the keyword 'doom' into a 4 digit code. All the letters and digits are on the page, but you need to figure out which letter of 'doom' goes with which digit.
Spoiler!
The lines are pathways that potentially connect letters to numbers, but you have to manipulate the page in order to do so. The clue word 'tube' is meant to help you with that.
Spoiler!
Fold the right side of the page over and stick it into the spine of the book, creating a 'tube' out of the page (i.e. do not crease the fold). Now hold the book up to eye level and look through the interior of the tube with the bottom of the page closest to you. Look for the 'D' inside the tube and follow the line that leads away from it. As you trace its path around the inside of the tube, it will eventually lead to the number 4. 4 is the first digit in the answer. Do the same for the O and the M, getting a 4-digit code.

This puzzle reminded me of playing those old-school Atari video games like Asteroids. Remember how the asteroids would fly off the right side of the screen at a certain angle, only to appear on the left side of the screen moving at the same angle? I spent hours learning how to time my shots at the edge of the screen so they would fly into another part of the screen and hit what I was trying for. Those pesky flying saucers were especially challenging. Good times. . .
