It's a programming language. You used it to control a turtle robot which would draw shapes according to the instructions you gave it.

Okay, I drew what I needed, but I still don't know what it is. Looks like an upside down cactus to me.

Any clue on image?
Spoiler!
I also followed the instructions and got an upside down cactus. I've tried entering a 'type of weapon', things related to 'space travel' and letters. If the drawing is supposed to be obvious, it is not for me.

WAY easy to overthink this one. Below are graded hints leading to the solution.
Spoiler!
1) This puzzle is as simple as following the directions given from top to bottom and drawing a figure whose name is the answer.
Spoiler!
2) Yoda's comment on the prior page says it all:
0,5 = 0.5 = one half.
1 = 1
2 = 2
up = up
down = down
left = left
right = right

Use your own scale to determine how far "1" is.
Spoiler!
3) Using a piece of graph paper and drawing a line 'up 2' then 'left 1' then 'up 1' etc will yield a familiar looking shape
And the answer is:
Spoiler!
cactus

Ok just dawned on me that if you solve this page and every page next to this one you solve the "end" page. Currently on page 30, should i skip ahead? Would be more fun if this wasn 't possible or am i the only one to think that?

I hate that I had to come here to find out that the comma should be a point (to someone from USA). it would be the interesting to know how many Americans are buying this book. Is it worth printing a version that how some of those subtle changes? For example there was another one where you said "two pieces away" when in the USA we would have said three. It makes the puzzles impossible to solve without hints.
